My milestones as a mourner
- Being welcomed into the synagogue service on Erev Shabbat (Sabbath Eve) with the words "HaMakom y'nacheim etchem b'toch sh'ar aveilei Tzion v'Y'rushalayim . . . May 'The Place' comfort you among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem."
- Leading my shiva minyan in Minchah and Maariv/Arvit for the first time, and, during Minchah, leading a full weekday Chazarat HaShaTz (Reader's Repetition aloud) of the weekday Amidah for the first time in my life.
- Getting up from shiva.
- Going to my "Kaddish synagogue" and saying Kaddish Yatom/Mourner's Kaddish there for the first time.
- Saying Kaddish as a mourner for the last time, this past Monday. This past Shabbat, I was very conscious of the fact that that was the last Shabbat on which I'd be saying Kaddish for my mother as a mourner.
- Going to my "Kaddish synagogue" today for morning minyan, as I said I would try to continue to do on Thursdays, and not saying Kaddish for the first time in a minyan in 11 months.
- My mother's first yahrzeit (anniversary of death).

I'm glad you've gone back to the "kaddish minyan" and given yourself the feeling of sitting through the mourner's kaddish.
My wife finished up 11 mos for her father just about a month ago. This Sunday will be the first yahrzeit.
Reform BT, I'm glad too, though it was a strange sensation, sitting through Kaddish Yatom and responding "amen" after 11 months of standing and reciting it.
My belated condolences to your wife. May she know no more sorrow.
She thanks you for your kind wishes
